Let's get personal

Hi.

How are you?

Did you have a good weekend?

I hope so.

Let's talk.

Let's chat about our time with the Lord. Because you know me so well, I need to know you more!! When do you spend the most amount of time with Him? Is it in the wee hours of the morning when the house is still and dark? Is it after the chaos has begun and you suddenly find yourself completely overwhelmed just by "life"? Is it while you are driving kids from here to there? Is it at night when you lie you head down to sleep? When does God speak to you?

Questions, Questions......now, HOW does God speak to you? Is it very real? Very practical? Very unexpected? Very frustrating? Very touching? How do you hear the voice of God?

Next, HOW do you EXPERIENCE God? How do you experience His Grace? His mercy? His love? His Joy? His forgiveness? His peace? How do you experience the qualities of God daily?

Now.......this is not a fun one.......what do you do with the convictions of God?

I seriously asked these questions to get to know your hearts more......there's nothing "hidden" in these questions, I'm not sitting on some high and might horse casting my questions upon you! I honestly......need to know you more.

The Lord has been speaking to me in a very real way about this blog.....what it should be and what it shouldn't be. Although there is nothing in scripture about blogs.......(oh yes, I checked) I just wanted to get a few things off my chest about what I feel about this blog.......lately there have been quite a few questions and comments out there in bloggyville about this whole "bloggy" thing. It's like a blog boom suddenly.......everyone has them! And it's great! But when my preacher starts mentioning them in the sermons.......it's time to talk about it on here!!!

I do not mind anyone reading this.......this is not my personal prayer journal where I write my most intimate discussions with the Lord out. There are certain things that are simply between me and Him.....and maybe a very close friend. I am very careful to only write the things I want other's to know about on here......therefore I do not write every detail of every friendship, outing and schedule of my life. I try to be careful to not mention this friend or that friend because surely I will leave some "ah ha" moment with someone out!

I do not think it's invasive for you to read this......after all this is what blogs are!!! If I didn't want you to know about it......I wouldn't say it! Now, I will say that it does SLIGHTLY make me wonder who all these daily readers are. I have a good consistent amount of people who read daily, weekly or just occasionally. Although if I REALLY wanted to spend hours discovering who each of you are, I could, I don't intend to, just because I'm not all blogger savy like that!

But as I've really been seeking God's guidance with this whole bloggy thing, I felt Him telling me.......just be honest. So I will......I enjoy all of your comments, e-mails and stopping me to tell me something you've read that you liked!! I REALLY do!! But who are the rest of you? If you don't mind me asking........=)There is nothing "stalkerish" about reading this blog, leaving a comment or e-mailing me. I welcome anyone to read, I really do, I just would love to know who you are every once in a while. I have developed some very "real" relationships on here.......I've kept up with people I would not have normally, I've learned so much about other's, their homes, how they run things and just how they love the Lord. This is a real life, a real person and real hearts we are dealing with. (or at least I hope so anyways!)

So I get personal with you everyday........will you get personal with me today? Will you share your heart with me? Will you allow God to use you in ways you may never know of? I love each of you so much. Thank you for reading, for stopping by, for encouraging me. Have a super blessed day!!

Since you asked I will tell you a little about myself. I'm a 58 year old Christian working woman that lives in SC and works in Atlanta. I love the Lord and it is interesting to me to read blogs and I don't have a clue how to do one. I think looking at a blog can really be like a ministry. I work in a business where we help people see and I feel like it's a ministry. I have a 3 hour ride one way twice a week so I listen to Beth Moore a lot. She has opened her life up to thousands and I suppose it makes you reflect on what it is all about. God is so good and I believe He puts people in our path for a reason. If you would like to communicate with me that would be fine. I have a daughter 36 and a wonderful granddaughter almost 8. I've been a Christian all my life, but in the past couple of years have dedicated myself to drawing closer to Him. I hope to hear from you. Trish

Hi Trish! I'm so glad you left me a comment so I can learn more about you!! What a blessing it is to me! How neat is it that you help people to see and surely that is a ministry!!

I completely understand what you are saying about "being a Christian your whole life" but now dedicating yourself to draw closer to Him......what a precious thought!!

Thanks for the comment and I hope to hear from you again!!

My prayer is that this doesn't become anyone's time away from Him, however so finding the balance is the key! Love ya and good stuff!!
