When it pours

Oh how I wish I was talking about real rain since we need it so bad in Charlotte!!! As if anything else could go wrong.........3am this morning, I went to the bathroom and had a very painful feeling in my lower back. I've had a pretty bad UTI this week (as if you wanted to know that!) But went to go lay back down and had some pain that I've never felt before. I got up to take some tylenol and an over the counter relief thing, and ended up on the floor in the kitchen in so much pain. Kris heard and quickly came in and a few seconds later he passed out on the floor. I was thinking OH MY GOSH, it's Carbon Monoxide posiniong since we had been using a new type of portable heater (while we're waiting for our heat to get fixed)!! I tried desperately to get to the phone, to dial 911, it took a few minutes since I could hardly walk.

I get to the phone and the operator tells me to get the girls and Kris out as soon as I could and the fire department was on the way. We are sitting outside, I'm in so much pain and Kris is finally coming back into conciousness, he has a hurt elbow and a bump on his head. The fire department checks for carbon monoxide posioning and there was none. So now I was even more stumped as to what was going on. The girls were all fine, scared but fine. As the EMT is looking over Kris and I, she tells me she thinks Kris is fine, he might have this condition when you get up really fast and it's intense you pass out, it's actually pretty, she says, you need a trip to the ER.

So my VERY sweet friend was on her way over to get our girls mind you at 3AM, what a friend she truly is. We get to the hospital and thank goodness it wasn't crowded, I was seen right away and they quickly discovered I had a kidney infection that was spreading. After some IV fluids and antibotics and me desperatley praying for them to send me home.....I hate hospitals, when I'm there anyways......I was on my way home with some more meds.

So, as I can barely sit here right now with my eyes open.....I just had to come and share with my blogging sisters how great God is to us......First, I had recently applied for Blue Cross Blue Sheild after not having insurance for two years now...we just couldn't afford it. Well guess what yesterday was? November 1st, and at midnight exactly is when my insurance was effective. The Lord had protected me all this week, even though I'd been having pain, He pulled me through. Secondly, since I have a $200 dedcutable for prescriptions (which I didn't know about), we had recieved a visa gift card back from our trip and Kris had just that day gone and picked up cash from a side-job he had we had just enough for the $140 cost of the medicine......God is SO good. Even in the midst of it all, I was reminded that He is my Jehovah Jireh, MY provider.

I'm afraid that's all for tonight.....I'm pretty wore out and am going to turn it in for the night. God is good......all the time........All the time.....God is good.

Nicki! Wow! If you had to get sick, that was the perfect time...

I'm glad you're home.

If I lived nearby, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Thank the Lord for your dear sweet friend. I pray God blesses her for what she did. And much prayers for your hubby! Poor thing.

Get some much needed rest.

Speaking of rest, a word went forth a few months ago about rest.

Real brief...Jesus told his disciples look lets get on this boat, we're going to the other side.

Huge storm arises, it looks like the storm will take them out.

Where is Jesus? At the bottom of the ship asleep and on a pillow no less.

Lesson here...when the storm is raging, go grab your pillow, curl up next to Jesus and rest. Get to snoring. He already spoke and his word was at work even if it didn't seem he was. And Jesus was on board for Pete's sake. What storm could take him out? He created wind, waves anyway. How could they possibly take him out?

Sometimes our storms seem more active than our savior. Not so.

So if Jesus is on board, rest. You're not going under. Grab your pillow, roll over and get some much needed rest. Even at the height of your storm. His word is at work in your life.

Love you much...

I hope you are feeling better.
What a night!
I can't even imagine what was going through your mind.
I am amazed by the fact that Gods hands are in the details.
He will stay things until it is for our best.
Bless you and HOLD ON!
Help is on the way. He will make sure of that.
Praying for you girl.
And I think today is the day the heater guy is coming--I pray it is nothing serious.
Be at peace He is in control.
