Back To Genesis

Genesis 1:11-13: "Then God said, "let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. v12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning-the third day."

I still can't help but think that somehow the outline of creation is an outline of our walks with Christ. I don't know if I'm just WAY off but I keep coming back to it. When I read this today, I couldn't help but think of the seeds that we are supposed to be planting in others lives. After we have the love and the knowledge of Christ in our lives, it's our duty to share that with as many people as possible. As we do that the "land" will produce more and more, the fruits of our "seeds". The more that we labor the more we will produce, all for God's glory of course, not ours.

I can't help but think about all the "seeds" that have ever been planted in my life. For as long as I can remember I've always had someone pouring themselves and the bible into my life. I can think as far back as to vacation bible school when we lived in Mannheim, Germany. I don't remember all of the names of people but I do remember the things that happened, the questions that were answered and the faith that I developed through these people. I also can think of one person in particular, Amy, who was my youth leader when I began Middle School. What a godly person she was to me, she set an amazing example and she just reached out and lead me. Whether we were having bible study together or just hanging out, she really changed my life. I feel a little guilty to think about all the time I've wasted not pouring myself into other people's lives the way that God has blessed me. It's not always the "seeds" of Christianity we are planting is what I'm trying to get to. When God has blessed us with "fruits" in our lives, we have seeds to sow continuously. Sometimes I think after I've shared the gospel with someone, my job is over, but oh it's not.

Well, I'm not sure if anything I say ever makes sense on here, it's so early and it's so much to think about, but I'm just sharing my heart. I'd better get busy, Taylor has a field trip to the apple farm today and we are ALL going! =) Should be fun!!! I hope it's not to cold for Kennedy Grace, she is still not over this yucky cold. Don't worry mom, I'll put a hat on her! =) Have a blessed day!
