Surgery Day.

Today is my mom's big surgery. In just a little while I will head up to Asheville so that I can be with her and my dad today and tomorrow. She is having a procedure done this am and then the big surgery at 4:30 this afternoon. Mom opted for the lumpectomy.

She is not 100% sure of what will be after either chemo or radiation...she's still trying to make that decision.

I'm scared. I'm worried. I don't want her to have to go through all this.

But, I know that she is surrounded by many prayers and lot's of love. I thank all of you for your words of encouragement for her.

Cancer is the word that none of us want to hear. But thank goodness I have seen people like Cindy, overcome and I know there is hope.

So I know it would bless her greatly if after her surgery today she had lot's of sweet thoughts to read, if she had a blog I'd send you her way, but would you please just leave a little note of encouragement or prayer here?

Thank you friends. Have a blessed day and I will be back on Thursday with an update.

Nicki-your mom was the first prayer on my lips when I woke up this morning. Praying that all the procedures go smoothly today and that the forthcoming treatments will be as easy to bear as they can be. And that God will grant you all the peace you need to make it through this tough time. Mrs. Chevalier - you've got one amazing daughter! I am praying for you just as I would my own mama.
Keep us updated, friend. Love to you both!

You all did you know I have a wonderful daughter? Thank you Nicki for your help over the last two days, it is very much appreciated...and to all of you who have prayed. God has absolutely been there for me through my first part of the journey. God keeps writing interesting chapters that is for sure. Here is the song that I thought about as I was in pre op awaiting surgery. Don't know what the rest of this picture is going to look like..with Jesus we can do all things. To Him be the Glory.
