When He says Don't Worry....Don't.

As I let these words fall from my hands this morning, I am in total awe of how perfectly amazing God is. His timing, His perfection, His works, His word and His blessings....they never cease to amaze this girl sitting right here.

To say this week has been stressful would be a little bit underrated. More like, I'm going to scream, pull my hair out, cry and lay on the floor in a tantrum if one more person even so much looks at me the wrong way! {smiles}

I have wondered what God was doing in more than one area of my life. Things have not made sense, lined up or even made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. But I have yet to find the scripture that says, "Life will be filled with warm fuzzy's." I'm still searching for that one. {winks}

And when life doesn't seem to make sense you tend to start to think, "What am I doing wrong here?" When plans A,B and C fall through...then what?

Then what.

You trust. I trust. We trust. Like never before.

"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes."-Matthew 6:34 (MSG)

God will deal with whatever hard things come up....when the time comes.

God.

Will deal.

I love that because, I am very found of the phrase, "Deal with it."

There are things that I'm waiting upon the Lord to say, "Now is the time." And I'm so reminded of this incredible concept to not worry. Just wait. Just obey and then watch and see what He does.

Now, I could not complete this blog post today without sharing something amazing that has happened this morning.

Last night, I was up until the WEEEEEEE hours of the morning still writing, still tweaking and still preparing for She Speaks on Friday. I have barely had time to stress about what I was going to wear but the thought came to my mind the other day during a mini-break-it-down-and-cry-session that thought of perhaps I don't have a huge selection to choose from came flooding in.

Because this is important stuff. Hair and Clothes. {hee hee}

And I began to think, "Oh great, just one more thing to get worked up about!"

Since the funds are a little low still in this household of mine, the other day I headed the mall to see what a little budget could pick up. I went into a favorite store of mine (LOFT) and saw several things that I loved but knew it was just out of the budget range. So I made do with picking up a few new accessories and just told myself I would have to make do with what I had.

Well, not realizing it last night but there was a card in a pile of mail sitting on the counter. I thought it was a birthday card because I do have a such a thing happening soon so I didn't think much about it.

So this morning as I was making the very vital first cup of coffee, I saw the envelope sitting there. Picked it up, noticed no return address.....and then opened it up. I read the card on the inside that simple said, "Buy yourself something beautiful for She Speaks." And enclosed was a very generous gift card to Ann Taylor Loft....the same store!!!!

I immediately looked out the window, up towards the beautiful sky (why I talk to God that way, I don't know but I do...) and said, "YOU are amazing. YOU know the details...the details that stress a woman out like nothing before. And YOU answer them in ways I never dream of."

And I was once again in total awe of Him and whoever this was from....for their generosity, support and just being a vessel as a BIG OL hug from the great, "I am."

So sweet friends, who are like me this week, just nothing but a stressed out Jesus girl, take heart in knowing that He is in all the details and we do not have to worry. Because He is God. Simply said. Simply powerful.

He sees and knows all even the depths of your soul. He holds all of the future of yours and mine in His hands. And I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what He does next.

In Awe of How He works,
~Nicki

The unsaved would call something like this a coincidence. I like to call them Godincidences.

Yesterday, my sister and I talked on the phone. She told me about a struggle that she and her teenage son are facing...nutrition-wise. It would be nothing major to the average person but is a big deal for them.

She prayed for him on her way to her Beth Moore Bible study that night. During her prayer time, she heard God say a certain phrase to her. She proceeded to the church.

During the taped part of the study, Beth Moore made a very big point, using the exact phrase that the Lord had spoken to my sister's heart.

It was a message directed to my sister. It was one of those, "I see you, and I hear you, and if you didn't believe me before, here's tangible proof."

She was awed, as was I when she shared this with me.

God is so good to give us times like this.
