Boy that was an original title don't you think? "Wednesday"
I love Wednesdays! For several reasons....
1. It means the weekend is half-way here! AMEN!
2. It means it's church night.
3. It means I don't have to cook dinner!! WHOO HOOO. =)
4. And.....it means that the girls don't have any homework.
Simple things really make me happy!! =)
And although I love Wednesdays they are also my busiest day for my music classes! So I know I must have at least three cups of coffee to get going on these kind of days!!
I've debated on whether or not to write something on my blog today about the events that happened yesterday. I definitely have an opinion.......but I don't know what good it would bring to anything. What's been done, has been done. What's been said, has been said.
I have this "theme" in my life. I always promote it in my bible studies that I teach. It's called "Not with me".
And I have to be honest.....yesterday I didn't take this stance in my life.
Standing in the gap sometimes means simply taking this stance........"Not with me."
Although some bridges and gaps were definitely made yesterday, you and I have a choice. And it's called "Not with me."
Some people are just prone to drama and will do anything to stir the pot. But this morning, the Lord showed me again through Joseph that not be willing to stir the pot is the right place to be!
In Genesis 40:4-19 you'll see that Joseph decided to take a different stance on things; To be positive.
My devotion shared with me that Joseph had every right in the world to be upset, down and sad about his situation! Even though the bottom of his world had just dropped out he was still sensitive to other's around him!
Now, I wouldn't dare say that the bottom of our world has just dropped out!! That would be way over the top!! =) BUT, there are some things that we are all nervous about........but also many things that we are hopeful about.
I am proud of my generation being wiling to see people as equal!
I am proud to be apart of a country where dreams do come true!
I am happy that yesterday so many came down off their own bridges and walked together into a new chapter in history!
I am thankful for the momma's and daddy's all over our world willing and able to fight for our freedom!
Will you take this stance with me? That although other's may still walk in their old ways of thinking.......that you and I would stand in the gap and say, "Not with me!"?
Change doesn't start with a country..........it starts with one.
Psalm 58:12:
"Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins, and will raise up the age old foundations you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings."
I don't know about you, but I want to be a repairer and a restorer!
Not taking one step without my Lord,

Christ is in the restoration business as well. Restoring broken lives.
My confidence rests in Romans 13:1, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." What a fabulous reminder. God is in control.
Will there be a "Thursday" post? :o)
Love & prayers,
Joy
