Reflection of praise

I can hardly believe it's New Year's Eve!

Where has this year gone?? Oh my goodness.

This year has been amazing. Today I'm writing a reflection of praise of 2008.

I praise you God for 2008 because:

*The confirmation you gave me to the call of speaking/teaching to women in January of 2008.

*The strength to take that first step to speak to our women's minister at the time and begin that first Church bible study "The 7 life principles for every woman".

*A little girl who turned into a precious two year old (ha ha)

*A new nephew Mr.Mason

*Celebrating 8 years of a marriage that hasn't always been easy, but God's hands have always been upon it

*Raising EVERY single penny for the She Speaks conference, you go God!

*Getting to see my brother begin the first steps of his new life with Jenny

*Attending the She Speaks conference......what an amazing experience, I'll never forget it!

*The beach, The mountains

*An amazing life-changing bible study........"Do You Think I'm beautiful?"

*Sending another off of to kindergarten

*A scary road of surgery for sweet Hope and a long road of recovery that you took away!!

*A tumor in my eye, of all places, that you've wiped away!

*Another new nephew!

*A girly turning 8

*And another girly turning 6 (where is the time going)

*A husband who can did something amazing, ran his first marathon!

*Family

*Friends, new and old

*Laughter, Joy and Peace

*Get togethers with family and friends

*Saying good-bye to those who touched our lives for such a short time

*Provision of everything we need

*Security and life that is found only in your arms

My amazing God,

2008 has been a great year. With many ups and downs Lord, one thing has remained the same.....you were there. Through every step, through every trial, through every praise...you were there.

Thank you for all that you did in our lives this year! I surrender 2009 to you and pray that you will do more amazing things in our lives this next year. So much uncertainty but still one constant.......you! Can't wait to see what you have in store!!

With a heart of praise,
~Nicki

Hi there! I found your blog through Faith's! Your post today was precious! How neat it is to share what God has done in your life this past year and be so eager to see what great things He has in store! I went to the She Speaks conference a few years ago. I loved it to and learned so much! Hope you enjoyed your break! Look forward to seeing Taylor soon!

Nicki...this is the first I realized you were at "She Speaks" last summer! I guess I didn't start reading your blog until mid-August when Hope wasn't well. (Directed over by Amy Brooke.) You mean I could have met you face-to-face!!! Another year :o)

Loved reading your year in review!
"The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." Psalm 126:3

Happy New Year!
Love & prayers,
