Oh sweet blog...forgive me?

I have neglected you, this blog and my many bloggy friends. I'm sorry. Life has just been busy and this momma just can't hang with all that's going on! Forgive me please!

Everything is going well, it's just been a busy week.

Work started on Wed and everything went good setting up my room and getting things planned. I'm doing a Christmas program with the 3 and 4 year olds and I'm really excited about it!

Our moms group, GEMS, met on Thursday and it was great. We made an aches and itches bath salt which I hope to get on this blog to share/giveaway. And don't ask Cindy how swift I am about getting things in the mail........UGH. It's on my list this week girl.

Worked again on Friday, we had soccer on Saturday and open house and another showing ALL in one day. TWO showings on Sunday and yes.........ONE OFFER!!!

BUT,

BUT,

BUT,

It wasn't a good enough offer. So we had to say SORRY. So we're waiting to see if they will come back around and offer something better. I don't think they will. But, hey! We got an offer!! =)

So my house has had to be really clean since we've had all this going on! Which is good because this is another busy week so less cleaning for this week!

My eye was doing really well, but then Saturday morning I noticed it was swelling again. It went down throughout the day but I noticed it was swelling again this morning. I'm not sure what this means. I head to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully he will be able to answer some of my concerns. Radiation was the word he used for the next option. Oh Lord please don't let it come to that.

I have to quickly tell you about my amazing Friday night!

While Hope was in the hospital, my friend Angie and I met a girl named Rachelle in the kids playroom. She is an 8 year old little girl from Belize that was here in Charlotte for treatment for cancer for her leg. Angie connected with her Aunt, Terese that was there with her and they have kept in touch and we've seen them a couple of times throughout their stay here.

Well, Rachelle's leg wasn't doing well. The doctors told her Aunt and her mother that they were going to have to remove her leg.

Angie and I were devastated for this little girl and have had so many people praying for her. Friday was the night they were scheduled to do this surgery and Angie and I went to be with her mom while it was going on.

When we got to the hospital we saw her mom and the doctor standing in the hallway they were talking so we stayed back until they were finished, but we couldn't help but over hear what they were saying.

We heard, "There's no question, the leg has to come off."

Then we heard, "But.......I just got a phone call...." And didn't hear the rest of it.

Meanwhile, Rachelle is in the OR prep area, gown on, IV in and ready for this surgery.

Rachelle's mom begins to cry and we hear the doctor call someone on his cell phone and says, "Mom says this sounds great and she's been praying for this for weeks."

Our mouths dropped open!

We quickly went up to hear what was going on. The doctor was all smiles and Rachelle's mom was all tears.

A doctor from DUKE medical center had JUST called and offered his services which cost hundreds of THOUSANDS of dollars for FREE. AND Rachelle's leg would be able to be saved!!

Holly COW! It was like seeing Jesus walk on water!! A miracle had JUST happened before our eyes!

My friend Angie asked the doctor, "So I take it this doesn't happen very often."

He looked at her and said, "Never. This is the first!"

AND

He, the doctor, TOTALLY gave God all the glory!!! HOW AWESOME is that!!!

Believe! Miracles DO HAPPEN!!! God is almost always the 11th hour God in my life, and this night, He was the 11th hour God for this little girl!!! It was precious.

Precious.

It will be something I remember forever!

So, things are going well. Forgive me for not updating this blog as much as I would like to in the coming days. It's going to take me awhile to get into a routine and I'm still having my quiet times but I just don't have as much time to write out all my thoughts.

Thank you again for praying, e-mailing and encouraging me these past two weeks. It's been such a comforting thought and presence. I will try to update you after my appointment! Have a great week!

Thanks for sharing all that is going on. That is amazing about Rachelle! Great news.

No guilt on the blog front. Remember the theme from She Speaks? "Grace, Grace, Grace!"

But I do love hearing what is going on with you.

What a wonderful miracle on the little girl's leg. What a great witness of God that you got this involved with your own child hospitalized. Our Father in Heaven weaves a tapestry of prayer warriors and miracles so beautifully it takes your breath away. What a privilege to join Him in HIs mighty work!!!

May all go well with your appointment. I know you don't want radiation but you want to be whole and well. I want this to be history and a testimony. I pray that whatever you need to be totally healthy and thriving is on the way and finished.

There is so much of Christ in you and so much destiny in Kingdom of God work that I know He will do mighty great things in healing you eye.

I love you,

Hey girl. I'm so glad you're doing better. I'm sorry we didn't get to work out getting together before you started work - crazy for us both! Sounds like you're off and running, but if I can do anything just let me know.
