"Can you hear me now?"

I absolutely hate that commercial where the cell phone guy is popping up in every which way direction saying, "Can you hear me now?" and then five seconds later..."Can you hear me now?"

Something about that commercial that just drives me up the wall!

But haven't we all had that happen? We'll be in the midst of a conversation, deep in our thoughts with each other and then suddenly...you say, "Are you there? Did you hear that?"

I have a friend that this happens to ALL the time when I'm on the phone with her. Maybe it's the areas she drives in or her her type of service on her phone. Whatever it is can be so annoying to be in the midst of a conversation and then it's.......gone!

But the past few weeks, I have felt this way with my conversations with God.

"Lord, did you hear that?"

"What did you say God? I can't hear you clearly."

"Ring......Ring......Ring.......Please leave a message for....'God'....beep"

"God, did you get my message?"

Oh how badly I wish God had e-mail.

I'm all about some e-mail! It's so hard to ever get on the phone with three girls running around as it is and I just love e-mail. I can work my thoughts out, think about what the other person is saying and I tend to remember things more clearly when I read e-mails.

Well today, I opened up God's word and He showed me that He does have e-mail access!

No, it's not the same types of e-mails that you and I send each other......."electronic mail".....It's "everlasting mail".

When seeking the will of God I often find myself in a frustrated mess over whatever situation I'm seeking His guidance about.

Maybe it's because I'm one to always be on the "lookout" for signs and wonders for direction. Many times this is how God speaks to me. He'll allow me to pass a sign at just the right moment in thought, I'll open a book to the exact page He wants me to see or sometimes more than ever, He'll use someone else to speak a word to me and it will just "click".

But here lately I've been shouting to God......."SPEAK."

Well, he did. Through an "e-mail" found in Psalm 37:7:

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret......."

Be still.

Wait Patiently.

Don't fret.

God still is speaking. He is still moving. He is still blessing. He is just waiting for us.......to wait upon Him.

I know I'm waiting for God to answer some tough questions, and I'm quite sure there are others who feel the same way. But in the midst of it all, I can stop looking around to the world for answers and open up my "inbox" which btw, is ALWAYS full when it comes to God's e-mail, and seek my answers from His Word.

So, what did your e-mails say today?

Ahhh, being still and KNOWING.... that's so hard for us moms, isn't it?! Relying on what we know instead of being able to see into the future.

I agree emails are so wonderful! Easier for me than talking on the phone.

I was talking (surprizingly enough on the phone with a bible study buddy-we both had to miss today due to sick kiddos (tis the season)) I was wishing for the clear signs and hand holding God did with the Isrealites out in the desert. They had the cloud by day and fire by night. Food was rained down on them and God taught them to trust by causing the manna to rot if they gathered to much but yet it would not rot when they gathered two days worth so they could rest as he instructed. God taught them to trust and obey.

My friend said, but we do have all of that. We have God's word. He guides us in how to live, how to trust and how to obey.

And now here I am at your post.... God is telling me something today better get to my "in" box and spend some time in His Word!

Thanks for the encouragement!

What did my e-mail say today? Hmmm! I am going to share that on my blog within the next 48 hours. You'll just have to wait but I think it was glorious!

Yes, my in box has been very full lately. :)
I am finding that I am hearing His voice....it took me awhile to get quiet.
My favorite song right now is...Peace Be Still. He has been speaking that to me for a long time. You know when you are sick if you keep running and running ....not taking time to get rest..you will find that the sickness lingers a lot longer. When I finally got still I realized how sick/wounded I was. He is heading me....little by little.

So many of us check our email repeatedly thru the day because we like the feeling of connection a message from a friend brings ... so I loved your point that our inbox with God is always full of things He wants to share with us.

I love the way you play with your design. How do you get the borders like that on the pictures? How do you get them rotated just a bit?
