8 years ago today....

I took the biggest step of my life, I married Kris. It was a crazy busy day and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Waking up in the morning, the hustle and bustle of the day, the woman who felt the need to roll down her window at a stop light and scream "DON'T DO IT, DON'T GET MARRIED"....(I'm so not joking!), the ride to the church with my dad in the limo, the moment before I walked into that church, my heart was racing.......then the moment I saw my handsome man, waiting for me, his bride, to come towards him. Then there was the LOUD STEP from my shoes as I stepped up on the alter, the exchanging of rings in which I put Kris's ring on the wrong hand (oops), then the kiss.....and then, life began!

It's been 8 years, and I have loved every minute of it. It hasn't always been fun and it hasn't always been easy but through God's grace in our lives, we have held together. My man is the hardest worker I know, he goes above and beyond in everything he does. His three girly's love him dearly and the highlight of my day is when he comes home and I hear three cheers of "DADDY!!!"

Although somedays he'd rather me talk to a wall than him (only because I always have so much to say!), He always listens, cares and believes in me. Whatever big dream I have today, he says, "Go for it!". He knows when I'm burned out with the girly's to just take over, He knows my favorite things like coffee and sweet cards.

So 8 years ago today, I took a deep breath and started the biggest ride of my life. Scared and worried, yes they were on my mind, but God took those fears and made them into something beautiful.

So even though the day is not so romantic or anything special, I wanted to take this time this morning and just thank God for an awesome, incredibly sweet husband. Thank you Lord and may there be many more 8 year marks to come!!!

Girl, it's romantic and special because it's YOUR day to celebrate! You don't have to have all the "hooplah" for it to be special so have a great day, relax, get yourself ready and make that man glad he's got you to come home to! I love you and congrats!!!

Congrats to you and your Man!
I do hope there is going to be a little romance. :)
I say, Romance is when your heart has been touched----I pray your heart is touched today and that you touch your mans heart.

May you enjoy many more years with your man.
